Sincere Apology

Early in 2008 many people were invited to National Adoption Day which was scheduled for Nov. 15, 2008 at the Family Court House on Punchbowl.  Due to economic crisis and state budget cuts it was necessary to move the event to Friday Nov. 14, 2008.  Effort was made to inform the public of the date change.  If you did not get the date change and arrived at the court house on Sat. November 15th only to find that there was no event we offer our most sincere apology.  We are very sorry that you not only missed the event but that you also were inconvenienced by making an unnecessary trip to the court house.

NATIONAL ADOPTION DAY NOVEMBER 17, 2007 

The Hawaii First Circuit Family Court in collaboration with Hawaii Department of Human Services Child Welfare Services, HOPE INC and eight community organizations opened on a Saturday Nov. 17th to finalize and celebrate adoption of foster children.  Sixteen foster children’s adoptions finalized and several hundred people came to celebrate.  (Click here for PDF poster of event)
